Dyane Nomad, zanimivo

 New Acadianes (Dyane-based vans) were imported by a Citroen dealer in Hampshire and converted to camping cars. This involved fitting a rising roof, welding the rear doors together down the shut and hinging them along the bottom so that, with a canvas cover it provides the needed extension for sleeping, moving the side-mounted petrol tank and fitting a door in its place on the offside and, of course fitting out the interior.  It has a two-burner cooker, a small sink, lots of storage space and (added shortly after conversion) a mains hook-up. As designed, it slept two adults and two children on pipe cots in the elevating roof.  That must have been a tight fit, but it's excellent for one and OK for two.  A side awning came with the vehicle, which is nearly big enough to park the van in! It is thought that six Nomads were produced. I have the brochure which was produced and which shows my Nomad. One other still exists - a converted LHD Dyane car.  Mine was a new Acadiane and was converted by the dealers to RHD.  It has had only two owners before me; an elderly man in the Isle of Wight, who owned it from 1982 to 1999, a family also in the Isle of Wight, who owned it briefly in 1999, and myself since 1999.  It has done only about 80,000km from new and has never been restored.

Moje mnenje je ,da je tak bivalnik,s takim malim motorjem cisti nesmisel. Matranje motorja,samega sebe in zivcev. Ce pa naredis nekaj takega kot je naredil @amipick je pa to cisto druga pesem.

Mirči to je tak zmeraj tak, da je zmeraj prešvoh ... Èim raja vidi nekaj nenavadnega reče da je mučenje pa prešvoh. Za mojega Hymerja tudi vsi rečejo... "ka sam tolk mal kojev ma? (pa jih ima XX več kot HY) To pa ja nikamor ne gre..."

Kdor ni vozil furgona ali pa Daka ne ve ali je švoh ali ni. Dejansko so to avti za potovanja in ne za dirkanje pa brez skrbi, nič se ne mučijo. Amipick ima pač za težo avta po mojem absolutno premočen motor . Ravno dost močen in ne požrešen motor je pa od Pubija. Kak kermu v "spačku" paše pač paše in si naredi po svoje. Jaz sem imel furgona spačka in dakovo srce ter menjalnik in je bil za moje potrebe čisto dovolj močen in hiter. Včasih sem koga celo presenetil po hribu navzgor ali pa na odprtem delu avtoceste.

Kolko lahko akadijana naloži... skupaj je top teža manda 1150 kg ali nekaj takega.

Tisti(ti), ki pa ni vozil avta par razredov višje, pa tudi ne ve, da je morda pa res švoh. JXXXXX BXXX, da bom zamenjal XMa za nekaj od 602 in, če v roku enega leta ne končam na poti svetega Antona plačam 5 velikih sodov pive, če ne pa upam, da boš vsaj imel občutek, da si delno kriv, da sem tam notri.
