Hi Borac, your decoration are really beautiful but remember that the italian ICCCR it' the 14th, not the 13th (the 13th ICCCR was in Interlaken, Switzerland, in 2004).

Your road map it's also very intresting: S.Gimignano host the Peugeot Museum, a fine place for everyone love french cars (the owner it's a collector that use an Xm as everyday car). The Peugeot Museum remain open for ICCCR members before and after the event. Here the address:

Sugerisci  qualche altra citta? (qualche vilaggio, dove si mangia bene :-) e si vede il bello paesaggio Toscanese?)

As any italian that has spent some time in your Country, I can ask for rakia, meat balls (cevapci?) and less more!

It's a very good place if you need a Citroën Service, Pasquale have a lot of spare parts and it's a Citroënist.

I leave Arezzo for Rome august the 11th and probably I stay in Rome after the event and cannot return to Tuscany before 20th, if you are still there I'm happy to join your group with my Ami6 or DS and to help as tourist guide.

I must leave the office (from where I'm writing now) but tomorrow morning I can provide you a sort of Citroenistic Tourist Guide for Tuscany.

So here we are:

When you reach Tuscany from north, probably you land in Florence (several connections from A1 and A11 highways), there you can find a lot of monuments and art pieces. Pay attention to the "tourist type" restaurants, probably better to have a dinner OUT of Florence: going south you have INCISA exit (from A1), there begin Chianti region, there you can find a lot of small restaurants ("osteria" or "trattoria" in italian).
The ones with the menu outside show you the pricelist, if not, take a look inside before to order: you can eat and drink very well with around 20 euros.

Some tested places:

San Giovanni Valdarno (around 20 km from INCISA A1 exit or 4 from VALDARNO A1 exit): Osteria "La Bianca", not so beautiful (it's an hotel restaurant) but fine "Fiorentina" meat at reasonable price. At ground floor of Masaccio Hotel

Lucignano: (on Boran way) Osteria "Vini d'Italia", immediatly out of the village, hosted by some young people. Very informal places where you can eat and drink fantastic wines at a very low price directly sitting on barrels.

S.Gimignano: (if you exit at FIRENZE CERTOSA from A1 going to SIENA)
There is the Peugeot Museum (see my previous posts) ask for Daniele, he is happy to help any french car driver for mechanical or food&drink issue ;-)

Siena: avoid the city center, normally very expensive and go on to BETTOLLE A1 entrance. On your way you can find a lot of small villages, one of them is Lucignano (see above).

When you are on the road between SIENA and BETTOLLE, if you have some time to spent, exit at ASCIANO and ask for the CRETE area.
It's the typical Tuscanian countryside, some beautiful panoramas wait for you!
You can find some Osterias at ASCIANO or (if you have more time) at LA PIEVINA (from ASCIANO returning north to SIENA via ARBIA, ask about there), a little expensive but very very nice place to stay.

When you return south, near Lucignano there is MONTE SAN SAVINO, ask for "Cassero restaurants", excellent price/quality balance, a very well equipped wine vault also.

Going south on the CASSIA ancient roman way you can find RADICOFANI, there you can search "La Grotta" restaurants. It's hard to rise from the chair at the end of the dinner. Ask for Giusy and qualify you as a Citroënist ;-)

Zdej me zanima sam točno število udeležencev za ICCCR zato, da se zmenimo koliko vozil ipd. Jaz imam dopust od 14- 22. 23.avgusta pa morma bit za 16h že na delu. Kako naredimo oz. splaniramo ruto do Rima? Enih par tratorij katere je martini omenil bi blo za si ogledat in sprobat.

@gigo, goxu so malo zamaknili dopust, tako, da najbrž štartava že okrog 10ga. Potem se potepava par dni pred srečanjem po toscani in mogoče še par dni po srečanju, bomo videli kakšno bi finančno stanje.
Na koncu se verjetno zapeljeva še proti Nici, Monacu, San remu

Točno :-) Jaz sem dobil dopust teden dni pred srečanjem, tako da štartava že prej proti Toscani ... Par dni Toscane, da vidimo vse kar je za pogledat, potem srečanje v Rimu in potem če bo še kaj denarja pa še malo v Nico :-)

V Rimu pa se itak vsi dobimo na enem mestu :-) Na srečanju :BigThumbs:

@gigo, ja najprej smo imeli namen it dan pred srečanjem in potem na izlet, zdaj se je obrnilo, ker je šef ponavadi tisti, ki ima prednost pri določanju dopusta

CitroDS in ostali, kako nameravte it, gigo bo najbrž imel prosto mesto v avtu in seveda je bolje delit stroške, kot vse sam plačevat

Gox je izdelal potovalni načrt. Gigo, če ne prej, se dobimo na srečanju, potem se nama lahko pridružiš na potepu po obali in sicer se bova skozi Piso ob obali zapeljala okrog zaliva Ligurskega morja do San Rema, Monaka, Nice...
Pred srečanjem  greva preko Bologne v Toscano, kjer  bova počitnikovala
